The Practitioners:
Elias Patras is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Reiki Practitioner, Ordained Minister and has been studying Intuitive Energy Work since 1997. He is an instructor at the Cortiva Institute - Chicago School of Massage. He finished a 2 year apprenticeship program in Shamanic Studies with Rainbow Journey LLC. As co-founder of ReAwakenings, a practice that supports the healing process of the Body, Mind and Spirit, he has facilitated several workshops, weekend retreats and monthly meetings. He also facilitated “Tapping into our Inner Voice” workshop, a six month workshop for learning about energy work and an opening of understanding how to connect to our inner self. He has also taught a shorten version as a continuing education class for massage therapists. He has written articles for the Windy City Times, Identity Magazine and was interviewed by Windy City Radio. Elias currently is co-facilitating, The Mesa As Healing Ground, An Apprenticeship in Cross-Cultural Healing Traditions in with Jean Tindle founder of Spirit Dancer Crystals. He is also co founder of Twin Spirit Tribe.
Danielle Bianchi

is Nationally Certified and licensed through the state of Illinois as a massage therapist and instructor of massage therapy, with over 1500 hours education in massage therapy and almost ten years experience in the field of massage therapy. She has a certification in Clinical Massage Therapy, pregnancy massage, Shiatsu massage, and educating students at their levels of comprehension. She has received additional training over her career from leaders in the massage field like Bob King, Whitney Lowe and Pat Benjamin. She demonstrates her expertise in the massage room and classroom through creating an individual experience that promotes growth, health and peace. In 2005, she received the "Going Beyond" Award for reaching students at their level of learning and achieving results.
She is also an instructor and tutor at the Cortiva Institute - Chicago School of Massage Therapy where she mainly instructs classes on kinesiology, ethics, business, and basic techniques and body mechanics. She combines her experience with intelligent compassion to educate therapists about the many paths to successful massage treatments and practices. In December of 2008, she was nominated “Instructor of the Quarter” for her dedication and compassion to student success and the massage therapy field.
With a wide range of experience, Danielle has had the pleasure of providing massage for bands like The White Tie Affair, the Monkees, Green Day and Blink 182. In addition, she has organized massage events with organizations like the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Phillip Morris Convention, Today’s Black Woman Expo, and the LaSalle Chicago Marathon.
Her true passion is exploring the ways that healing can promote joy, peace and abundance in one another. That mission is expressed in Danielle's massage staffing and training company,
Signature Body & Mind Solutions . She has begun a local social and educational group for massage therapists called Balanced Bodyworkers and looks forward to providing continuing education credits nationwide in 2010.
